All of our prosthesis are handcrafted by us.
Each location has a modification lab to make any adjustments needed on site
Below Knee // prosthesis
What is a Below Knee Prosthesis? BKA
An amputation below the knee. The prosthesis componentry will consist of a custom-made socket, a pylon and a foot. Depending on your activity level, more advanced componentry will often be used.
We first cast and fit you with a temporary prosthesis while you are healing. The use of a temp prosthesis will assist in reducing the swelling to the residual limb. This process could take up to six months, depending on how quickly your limb heals. Everyone is unique, our prosthetist works closely with you throughout this entire process. After the limb has healed, we move onto your permanent prosthesis. You will be able to pick out your socket cover or if you would like to hide the socket and componentry we can craft cosmetic covers
Each amputee is unique, we work one on one with you to make sure your fit is 100%.
